Chemical resistances

<<< back

The following chemical resistance data refers to working analysis of materials produced and also to test results and experiences from our customers. This information can only be used as a guide concerning the actual application; the user still has to conduct their own tests. Therefore this data is not binding in law. The chemical resistance of a material depends on many different factors, e.g. concentration, temperature, quantity of the material, effect time and mechanical demands during the contact. Therefore it is always necessary that the user conduct’s their own tests for the suitability of the product under their own operating conditions. The information mentioned in the spreadsheet always refers (if not indicated otherwise) to room temperature, standard concentration and purity. Any mixture of the mentioned chemical products can produce completely different results, so these mixtures need to be investigated separately. Please also always consider that one wheel can consist of two different materials (e.g. wheel type PK), which means that two material resistances have to be examined. The resistance of adhesives can only be tested during the application of the product, as there is no reliable information existing from the manufacturer. Due to the variety of all chemical materials the enclosed spreadsheet can only be used as partial information. On request we will be pleased to send you a complete list.
